Welcome from your SU Presidents!

Your SU Presidents are here to support your needs and the student voice throughout the next academic year, catch them throughout Welcome Week and say hello!

Hello from your Presidents!

Stevie P - President Exeter

Hello, I’m the President Exeter, Stevie P, and I'm super grateful to have been elected this position by you. I can’t wait to work with the incredible SU team as we progressively return to face-to-face interactions across campus, but hopefully with some new and exciting changes which I look forward to implementing to improve the overall student experience at the Cornwall campuses. It’s been an incredibly challenging year for us all and I believe that during these dark times, the pandemic has shed light on some of the underlying issues that the student body is most vulnerable to. As I take office, I will aim to address these matters and ensure that as we emerge from lockdown, your student life will be as invigorating as before, if not better!

Ben Statham-Wilkins - President Falmouth

Hello there and welcome to Cornwall! I’m Ben, your SU President Falmouth. As President it’s my job to make sure you’re taken care of and have the best experience throughout your student and academic life. I was elected this year by the current students of Falmouth due to my strong manifesto points and possibly because of a TIKTOK campaign which went viral, who knows? I know joining University can be scary, especially if you are leaving home for the first time but please know that we are here for you and will only be a message away! So, make friends, get involved and enjoy your time here at Falmouth!

Charlotte Agnew - President Welfare and Inclusivity

Hello, I’m Charlotte - I’m here to fully support you in areas that are outside of your academic studies, whether you’re an Exeter (Cornwall Campus) student or Falmouth student. These areas include mental wellbeing, accommodation, accessibility, inclusivity, and diversity (just because my title is very broad!).

To properly represent the student voice, I work closely with student communities (like international, mature, and many more). This is to help raise awareness on important topics, develop and support campaigns, as well as continuing to enhance student welfare services.
But honestly, remember to take breaks when you’re studying and take the time to explore the area! This is the start of a new chapter and Cornwall is an amazing place to study - so welcome! If you see me around one of the campuses whether that’s Penryn, Falmouth or Truro, please say hi as I’ll enthusiastically wave back!

Ellie Ricks - President Student Experience

Hi there! I’m Ellie and I’m your President Student Experience and I’d like to welcome you to Cornwall! We’re so excited to have you here with us, this is going to be blast! Over the next year I’ll be looking out for students old and new and making sure you have the best student experience you can. Why not grab me for a chat if you see me on campus, I’ll be in every colour under the sun so it won’t be hard to spot me! I can’t wait to hear all your ideas, feedback and experiences soon :)
