SU President Falmouth

Luke Court

Hello, I’m Luke, your SU President Falmouth 2022/23. I’m a creative person by nature, having studied press and editorial photography at Falmouth Uni, I’m always looking for an opportunity to hold a photoshoot. I love meeting new people and getting to know their stories and passions. I believe everyone has as story to tell, and I try to communicate them through my projects. I love Falmouth and I’ve loved my time studying at Falmouth University. I am so excited to represent Falmouth students within the SU, and I want to make sure every Falmouth student has an amazing experience studying here!

SU President Exeter

Georgi Griškevičienė

Hey, Georgi here and yes, although my name may look a bit different I'm still the Georgi that was voted in as your President Exeter for 22/23 - I just got married!

I've interrupted my degree in Marine Biology to take on this role because I think it's super important to have strong student representation, which is something I've been doing since my first year as a course rep and later as a subject chair. I'm still keeping my toe in the water (pun intended) as co-chair of local charity, Falmouth Marine Conservation, which allows me to engage the local community in everything marine. As you can tell I am an avid ocean lover and love to be in, on or as close to the water as possible, whether that be sea swimming, paddle boarding, snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing (very badly) or sailing which I used to teach for a living before I came to uni. I am also a proud pet parent and I spend many hours taking my dog, Asha, on adventures, who you might have spotted causing chaos on campus, or cosying up with a cuppa and my very fluffy cat, Rafferty for a good mental health day.

SU President Welfare and Inclusivity

Kira Orchard

Wasson?! My name is Kira and I am your President of Welfare and inclusivity. In my spare time I love to read, write and look after my plants. I love blogging about and reviewing books – you can be sure that I always carry one with me! I’ve recently gotten into listening to podcasts and I think they can be a super accessible way to learn more about the topics you’re interested in. I do also love a good video game and enjoy spending time with my friends online. I want students to feel they can come and talk to me about any Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity related issues, so please do send myself or the advice team an email!

SU President Student Experience

Lauren Taylor

Shwmae! Hello! I’m Lauren and I will be representing you as your President Student Experience for the 22/23 academic year. I’m originally from Barry in South Wales and so I have heard every Gavin and Stacey joke and reference that could possibly be made. For the past three years, I have been an Exeter student studying English and History, and alongside my studies I have been keenly involved in the SU as a Subject Chair and on multiple society committees. I have a passion for journalism so frequently write for many volunteer led publications, I’m an avid vinyl record collector, and I am a lover of Marvel films, YA books, baking, Taylor Swift, and going to the beach.
