Set up a few (1-3) vending machines on Penryn Campus selling real meals like cup noodles, sandwiches, and Huel beyond snacks and beverages. Alternatively, add cup noodles, sandwiches, and Huel to existing vending machines, preferably the one near Glasney Lodge and one in library.
Why is it relevant to Falmouth & Exeter students?
Universities are supposed to offer students 24/7 access to basic food regardless students need them as nobody knows when "food emergencies" occur. Whether you're first-year student staying in Glasney for Christmas/reading week/Easter or second-year, final-year, Master's student studying late night in library, after Stannary and Campus Shop close at 19:00 or holidays, there's no food available for anyone hungry. Storm Goretti demonstrated how limited food deliveries can be and when ASDA shuts. Currently, vending machines only sell snacks and beverages.
What positive impact would it have?
Students no longer have to worry about unable to access food or go hungry if they run out of supplies at home and delivery services become unavailable. Students studying in library can grab proper meal anytime during night without going hungry. Vending machines mean university doesn't have to worry about staffing the machines during night.
