Construct sheltered bike stand(s) at the hotspots for Beryl rentable e-bikes on the campuses, to shelter the bikes from wind and rain and provide physical support so they aren't constantly falling over.
Why is it relevant to Falmouth & Exeter students?
On Penryn campus (and I presume Falmouth campus and Exeter campus as well), the university has pay-to-use e-bikes courtesy of Beryl. However, these bikes are kept out in the open which means that they are privy to the elements; particularly, wind that knocks them over onto their sides due to their narrow kickstands. As well as possibly damaging the bikes, it presents a problem when someone wants to use a bike but the entire row of bikes is knocked over - they are extraordinarily heavy due to their batteries, and many people may not be capable of setting them upright, especially when their kickstands and handlebars are all tangled together. It is also simply not a good look when there's a lot of bikes on the ground near the entrance of Penryn campus.
What positive impact would it have?
The bikes would immediately be more accessible and reliable as people will no longer have to spend time trying to set a bike upright - and as mentioned, some of these bikes' target audience may not be physically capable of that. It'd be peace of mind to know the bikes will always be ready to go no matter the weather. A sheltered stand would also keep the bikes dry - it's no fun sitting on a seat that's just been rained on!
