Dear students, staff and others,
This year's Sustainability Week is taking place from the 1st to the 5th of March and with over 40 events, there is something for everyone!
Sustainability should be something to embed in everyday life and the events for this year aim to highlight and educate, as well as entertain and provide a place to socialise. Kicking off on Monday with 10 events, Sustainability Week is a campaign led by student groups in collaboration with The Universities, from a backyard bioblitz led by EcoSoc and the SU’s biodiversity officer to a talk from Hannah Pearce, CEO of Un_rap, a plastic free shop based in Falmouth. The huge range of events means there is something for everyone to get involved in, from webinars to social media challenges and cook-alongs, film screenings and quizzes. Details for events can be found on the SU website with a full timetable and details for joining coming soon. Eventbrite links are also available and everyone is welcome. Please feel free to get in touch with me, the Environment and Ethics Officer if you have any questions.
This is shaping up to be a fantastic, jam-packed week and I am really excited to learn more about sustainability!
Kindest regards, Eilish Calnan
