Black History Month 2023
October is Black History Month; our chance to pause and reflect on the past, celebrate a number of vibrant and compelling cultures and examine the way in which we view our history. This year, the theme is ‘Celebrating our sisters’ highlighting the incredible achievements of Black women who have inspired change and who have made remarkable contributions which has shaped our history.

Profiles
Throughout October, we want to bring awareness to important Black figures. By highlighting the challenges that the Black community has endured, we hope to help understand and support the modern community that continues to thrive today.
Last year we worked with Celia Dipple, a Falmouth University Illustration graduate, to shine the spotlight on some important figures in the Black community.
Thank you to Alicia Pariso for sharing your zine about Dorothy Vaughan.
