About this role

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our Advocacy team, playing a central part in shaping and championing the student voice across Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campuses.

As the Academic Representation Coordinator, you will plan, manage, and lead the operational support for our academic representation system, empowering student representatives at every level to effectively advocate for their peers. From designing and delivering training and resources, to building strong relationships with university staff and closing the loop on student feedback, your work will be at the heart of creating a genuine partnership between students and their institutions.

The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic about working with and empowering students, with a proactive approach and the organisational skills to match. You are a confident communicator who can work across a range of stakeholders, from student reps and sabbatical officers to university partners, and you take pride in finding solutions and driving meaningful change. You are comfortable working both collaboratively and independently, bringing energy and structure to everything you do.

This post is a permanent position working on a 1.0 contract, which is 35 hours per week. A flexible approach to working hours is required. As an organisation we do have an agile working programme. For this role the successful candidate will be required to work across Penryn, Falmouth, and Truro campuses for contracted hours due to the collaborative and student-facing nature of the role. Working hours and patterns will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.

The Academic Representation Coordinator job description outlines full requirements of the role.
