About the event

After the success of the Spring Concert, the Penryn Campus Orchestra returns to King Charles the Martyr Church, Falmouth, to present their first concert of the season: the Winter Concert. Tonight's program combines Christmas magic, including music from the Christmas movie favourite The Polar Express, and the drama and passion of the romantic. Amongst tonight's offerings, principal 2nd Violinist Maja Richardson plays the 1st Movement from Saint-Saens' sumptous third violin concerto. We are also excited to present a work by local composer Jaemus Downing.

Concert starts at 5pm with doors open from 4:30pm. Food and light refreshments will be available to purchase during the interval.

Program:

  • Concert Suite from The Polar Express - Silvestri and Ballard arr. Brubaker
  • A Little Fantasia on Gabriel's Message - Downing
  • 1st Movement From Violin Concerto No. 3 in B minor - Saint-Saens
  • Symphony No. 8 in B minor 'the unfinished' - Schubert

Adult tickets £8, Student tickets £5, 18 and under tickets £3.
