About the event

The Picnic Taster Session will take place at the beginning of term and is a chance for new students and potential members to come along, meet the society, and get a feel for what we are about. It will be a relaxed and welcoming event where students can meet existing members, have a chat, and take part in some casual activities and crafts.

The event will be held as a picnic in the Amphitheatre at Penryn Campus, with drinks and a small selection of snacks provided by the society. Attendees are also welcome to bring a shop-bought, packaged snack to share with others. Due to allergies, please do not bring seafood or nuts. Any food brought to share should remain sealed in its original packaging until arrival so that ingredients and allergen information can be checked. Homemade or unpackaged food will not be suitable.

If the weather is unsuitable for an outdoor picnic, the event will move indoors and continue as an indoor picnic, with activities adapted to the space.
