Join us for a day trip to Lizard! As we are in the Spring migration and in the cuckoo season, we hope to see different common and uncommon spring migrants and the arrived summer visitors. This includes cuckoo, common whitethroat, wheatear, sedge warbler, reed warbler, grasshopper warbler, hobby, lesser whitethroat and more.

Please meet at the Penryn campus main bus stop at 8:30am. We will take the 8:42 bus 3 to Helston Sainsbury and 9:42 bus 34 to Lizard. We will have a circular walk from Lizard village to Caerthilian Cove, then to Kynance Cove via coastal path, and back to Lizard village. We will take the 34 bus at 16:45 and bus 3 at 17:52 to be back at campus at 18:20.

Please bring packed lunch with you and wear walking boots as the terrain may be uneven, muddy and with some elevation differences. However, we will stop at Helston Sainsbury's for about 30 min before the 34 bus to Lizard, and again at Sainsbury's for variable time (10min-1h). There may also be local pasty shops open at Lizard.
