Join us for a birdwatching trip to Helston Loe Pool! We will take the walk from Helston Coronation Pond to Porthleven. This area is a good spot for seeing many freshwater winter duck species such as shoveler, goosander, pochard and tufted duck. Recent bird records of the area include a long-staying national rarity lesser scaup, and great egret. We may also see winter seabirds such as divers along the coastal path. We will meet at the Penryn campus main bus stop. Please bring lunch with you. While most of the path is paved, there is some topography and there may be some muddy areas so you are recommended to wear walking boots. Please bring waterproofs.
