About the event

Join us for a birdwatching walk from Lizard through Caerthillian Cove to Kynance Cove! We are hoping to see resident choughs and skylarks. Since it is peak migrant season, we might also see birds such as wheatear, pied flycatcher and whinchat. Please meet at 08:30 at Penryn campus main bus stop for a U4 departure of 08:47. We will then stop at Helston tesco to take the bus 34 to Lizard. Since this involves a transfer at tesco, there might be variable time to wait for the next bus, especially for the return journey. This route may involve steep (but all with stairs) climbs and muddy paths, so walking boots are required. You are recommended to bring your own lunch, though there would be a tesco at Helston and some shops at Lizard bus stop. Please buy a ticket before the event as there may be limited capacity on the 34 bus.

You are recommended to buy a Cornwall day ticket either on the bus or on the Transport for Cornwall app (adult 9 pounds), which is cheaper than buying return tickets separately and also more flexible. Day tickets on First Bus app sometimes do not work on the 34 bus.
