Cornwall MedSoc is all about encouraging students to embrace the fantastic opportunities that Cornwall has to offer and to build a strong community of medics in the county.

Cornwall MedSoc is the society for all Medical Students placed in Cornwall!

We aim to create community among the medics based in Truro and Falmouth by hosting events and activities where everyone can get stuck in!

We run social events from quizzes to nights out, beach BBQs to pub crawls. There is also a rich sporting timetable with dedicated Netball, Touch Rugby, Hockey, Surf and Swim groups.

MedSoc also plays a pastoral role. We know that studying Medicine can be tough at times, that is why MedSoc is here to provide some much needed downtime at our social and sporting events. Our 'Medic families' network is there to connect students across year groups, meaning there's always someone to talk to to who is likely to understand what you're going through. Medsoc and University wellbeing services are also always there if you are struggling and need to reach out.

We aim to give back to the local community by providng charity events that supporting our chosen charities.

Cornwall MedSoc provides extra-curricular academic opportunities to match those in Exeter. We have many affiliated socieites, including Neurology Soc, Paedatric Soc, Global Health Soc to Emergency Medicine Soc. We aim to provide teaches on relevant topics and OSCE tuition by Juniour Doctors, older years, and through Medic Families.
