SU President Falmouth

Jadelle Luckman

Image signs Jadelle stood in front of shrubbery

Hey, I’m Jadelle, your President Falmouth! I’m back for my second term, and I’m buzzing to be a voice our amazing student community again this year. Originally from the West Midlands, I moved to Cornwall back in 2020 to start my undergrad in Popular Music (so yeah, I think I can call myself a local now). I stuck around after that to do my Master’s in Music Business, so after five years here, I know the ups, the downs, and everything in between when it comes to student life. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at the beach or at Pendennis Point, my favourite places to unwind. I’m also big on grabbing a coffee (iced caramel latte is my go-to), hanging out with mates, or catching up on some much-needed sleep. Having started uni just as the cost of living crisis kicked off, I know how tough it can be. That’s why I’m all about making student life more affordable and accessible; like pushing for cheaper food on campus, more affordable parking, better financial transparency and cheaper printing. Basically, making things a little easier, so you can focus on the good stuff. I’m always around if you’ve got ideas, questions, or just fancy a chat, come say hey!

SU President Exeter

Izzy Brinkley

Hey everyone! I’m Izzy (she/her), your President Exeter for 2025/26! I’m a recent Conservation Biology and Ecology graduate, originally from rural Suffolk in the South East. As part of my undergrad degree, I undertook a placement year working in conservation social science research - combining my love for conservation and communities! During my 4 years of study down here in Cornwall, I’ve grown to appreciate just how transformative placement and internship opportunities are; but also how difficult they can be financially as unpaid or unsupported positions, which are typically targeted towards students. As such, I am keen to help make placement and internship opportunities more accessible to all during my time as a Sabb this year. I strongly believe in creating connections between people (and nature!) and growing as a person through new experiences, both on a personal and professional level. This belief leads me to see every opportunity as a learning one, and constantly strive for creating a space for growth that is fair, inclusive, sustainable, and where everyone has a voice for change. When I’m not hanging around at the SU, I love exploring new coffee shops in town and paths along the coast, as well as going for a sea swim/snorkel, or curling up with a tea and a movie! Being able to study here in Cornwall is such a unique opportunity, and I’m super excited to represent our diverse student community here to involve your voices in high-level university discussions. I am always down for a wander around campus, or a catch-up over coffee, so please don’t hesitate to come find me if you have any issues, or just pop along for a chat!

SU Vice President Exeter

Avery Bailey

Hey all, I’m Avery (she/her) your new Exeter Vice President for 2025/26. Combating student poverty and promoting equality lies at the core of my motivations. This year, I am here to represent the student voices of those that believe in a more affordable and fair future. When not in the office you are likely to find me volunteering within conservation, rereading heartstopper in the walled garden or backpacking along the coastal path. I am always down for a stroll around campus, or a hot drink so please don’t hesitate to come find me with any issues or just for a chat!

SU Vice President Falmouth

Aisha Lord

Heyyy I'm Aisha (She/Her) the new Vice President Falmouth for 25/26! I recently completed the Popular music Ba course and I can't wait to get stuck into the new year as your Vice President. I'm from the North East, Sunderland, and since moving to Falmouth I have fallen in love with the community and music scene here. I have a huge passion for performing and writing music, so outside of the SU you'll find me at gigs in town or in the practice rooms with other, very talented musicians! When I'm not watching live shows, I love to play pool or spend time with my friends, whether that be watching movies together, sitting at the beach or having a chaotic games night. I usually have my headphones on when walking around campus, but don't be afraid to come say hello, I'm always happy to help or even just have a chat :) I've been a student for four years in Falmouth and as a person of colour, studying in Cornwall, I'm keen to create a more diverse environment for students that supports people of all different backgrounds and cultures. I believe that all students should feel like they belong and are loved and encouraged at Falmouth, as well as having equal opportunity to thrive and enhance their university journey. So if I can help you with something you may be struggling with along the way, then I'm happy to do so! I have always been involved with campaigning, protests or voicing opinions loud and clear and now I can't wait to do that for you! I am incredibly passionate about helping others. I have a resilient nature and a strong drive to ensure your voices are heard and to create the changes you need and want in our community.
