The Renewable Energy Society (RES) converges the renewable enthusiasts of yesterday, today, and tomorrow through a range of activities.
The society puts emphasis on relations between years and lecturers to ensure strong bonds so that you are comfortable to ask questions during your study. This February a Quiz in the Stannary with students and lecturers was enjoyed by all with a range of questions and group activities such as building a pipe cleaner wind turbine! (sadly, no electricity was generated from them).
This year the society is planning a strong return despite Covid-19. In-person events will be done where possible and will increase as restrictions loosen. Virtual or socially distanced events have been planned such as a Minecraft server, FAQs with current students for fresher’s week as well as pub quizzes, and strengthening the Women In Engineering community.
The society is committed to ensuring interactive and fun events will be held no matter what the circumstances. All students are welcome and if you are interested in Renewable energy please get in touch!
Please check social media for meeting times.
