Whether you’ve been involved in Scouting or Guiding for years, or have never tried it before, Kernow SSAGO is a friendly society for students at the University of Exeter’s Penryn Campus who want to try something new, meet people and get involved in a wide range of activities.
We usually meet on Wednesdays from 6–8pm during term time, although meeting times can vary depending on the activity and member availability. Details of our upcoming meetings and events are shared on our Instagram.
What do we do?
We aim to run something different and exciting every week, based on what our members want to do. Our activities can include everything from games nights, crafts and social evenings to beach trips, hikes and outdoor activities. We’re always open to programme suggestions, so if there’s something you’d like us to try, let us know!
As part of the Student Scout and Guide Organisation (SSAGO), we also have opportunities to take part in national events and activities alongside other university Scout and Guide societies across the UK.
If you’re interested in getting involved with Scouting or Guiding outside university, we can also help connect you with a local Scout or Guide unit where you can volunteer.
