Success for Gymnastics

Over the past two weekends, members of the gymnastics society travelled to Portsmouth and Leicester to compete in the University Gymnastics Cup South Finals and National Championships. These competitions gave both experienced athletes and first-time competitors the opportunity to represent the university on a national stage and showcase the hard work put in throughout the year.

Across the two events, the club achieved an impressive total of 10 individual medals and brought home a trophy across multiple apparatus categories — a huge achievement for everyone involved.

But beyond the medals and results, the competitions highlighted something equally important: the club’s supportive atmosphere, team spirit, and encouragement for one another. From seasoned competitors to those attending their first university competition, the weekends reflected the inclusive and welcoming environment the society has built.

The club would also like to thank the Exeter Alumni Fund for supporting the team’s attendance at both competitions, as well as Penryn Gymnastics Club for hosting training sessions and supporting athletes with coaching throughout the season.

Congratulations to everyone who competed and represented the university so brilliantly.
