About this vacancy

This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant Communications Team, delivering impactful communications which focus upon engagement with our student members and creatively connecting through all forms of communication channels.

You will take a key role in working with elected student representatives and colleagues to deliver and communicate purposeful campaigns, working collaboratively and ensuring work is delivered in line with Students’ Union priorities.

You will be employed directly by The SU. We are a membership-led charity; run by students, for students. We represent students from two different universities: Falmouth University and the University of Exeter.

  • Falmouth University has a history of more than 100 years of creative thinking and design innovation. Established in 1902 as Falmouth School of Art, they have grown to become a digital innovation hub, delivering impact for lives and economies through the development of new knowledge, solutions, services and products.
  • The University of Exeter is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of research-intensive universities and in the top 150 universities in the world. They combine world-class teaching with world-class research, achieving a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework Award 2017.

 

The ideal candidate for this role would be experienced in one or more strands of communications, marketing, content creation and digital delivery, a people person who is able to work within a small, specialist and dynamic organisation. You will bring ideas forward and find ways to develop peer to peer content.  You will also need to be able work with others to best use our research and insight to help you the team develop different engagement approaches.

The post holder will be primarily based at the Penryn campus. Some time at the other Cornwall campuses and home working required.
