About the event

Green living are sup-HERBly excited for our Trip to 7th rise for a day of foraging!

7th rise is 'the result of a passion to create the space and opportunity for the public to learn about and have incredible authentic experiences in wild environments'. Set in a beautiful woodland venue; 7th rise is a riverside 300-year-old Cornish cottage overlooking the river Fal on the Roseland peninsula.
(more 7th rise info; https://www.7thrise.co.uk)

The day will be a re-wilding experience, taking you back to basics! We will be shown around the diverse habitats on site; woodlands, hedgerows, fields and seashores, whilst learning how to forage (there are many edible roots, flowers, herbs and seaweeds along the way!). Following this, we’ll move to the outdoor kitchen and learn how to build a fire as well as some outdoor cooking techniques with the ingredients foraged. During the day we will also learn how the derelict cottage was turned into a woodland escape for those seeking alternative experiences in the modern world!

A meal with foraged ingredients will be provided but we recommend bringing some extra snacks and plenty of water and appropriate clothing for a woodland walk (and unpredictable Cornish weather!).

We will be meeting at 7th rise at 10am and the day will end at 4pm. If you are in need of a lift or can offer a lift there will be an option for you to select on the SU website, and we will arrange this closer to the time!

The cost of this is usually £35 per person however we are very lucky to have been offered it at the reduced price of £10 per person! There is an £8 return fee to cross the king harry ferry per car, so if you are a passenger you will need to bring a couple quid to pay for this.

We are limited to 24 people so get your tickets quick.
