Chrysalis [3/3] - The Falling (2014) dir. Carol Morley

England, 1969. The fascinating Abbie and the troubled Lydia are great friends. After an unexpected tragedy occurs in the strict girls’ school they attend, a mysterious epidemic of fainting breaks out that threatens the mental sanity and beliefs of the tormented people involved, both teachers and students.

For the last of our Chrysalis season we have a twofold maturation and discovery. Not only did we get to see Maisie William’s first lead role after her success in Game of Thrones, but also a phenomenal debut from Florence Pugh. What’s not to love from this hypnotic, bewitching dream of a film. See you there!
