Through the Mirror: A retrospective on Black Horror [1/3] - Night of the Living Dead (1968) dir. George A. Romero

A ragtag group of Pennsylvanians barricade themselves in an old farmhouse to remain safe from a horde of flesh-eating ghouls that are ravaging the East Coast of the United States. The pragmatic Ben does his best to control the situation, but when the murderous zombies surround the house, panic begins to set in amongst the survivors.

Kicking off our season of Black Horror, Romero takes inspiration from the racial and political strife of late-60s America. Join with your fellow film lovers for this “vérité nightmare which overturned the conventions of fantastical horror” from 18:00, and come hang out afterwards for informal drinks and post movie chat!

See you soon!
