About the event
On Sunday 1st we will be wandering 9 miles from Perranwell to Redruth, along a picteresque, historic route. We will pass under a towering viaduct, stop at a huge climbable quarry, and explore a derelict mining village, before gathering around the breathtaking Gwennap pit (pictured).
The transport to catch will be the 9:24 train from Falmouth Town, or 9:32 from Penryn, getting off at Perranwell. We will aim to be in Redruth for the 16:45 train home.
I reccomend buying an open return ticket to Redruth.
Like always, make sure you bring food and water. The weather has been very wet recently, so appropiriate footwear is highly reccomended.
As always if you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask via our instagram or whatsapp! See you Sunday!
