**** Due to the windy weather, we are shortening this course to exclude the walk to college reservoir. We will go there another time (perhaps next weekend) keep your eyes peeled for it! The course will therefore now be completely indoors and we now expect to be finished between 12 and 1 ****
This event will be taking place in the exchange courtyard room 4, meeting and starting there at 9
A day aimed at teaching complete birdwatching novices how to carry out a BTO Wetland Bird Survey (WeBS) and how to identify the wetland birds likely to be encountered. By the end of the day you'll have the skills to identify a range of wetland birds and be able to carrying out a WeBS count yourself! You'll learn the skills in the classroom before heading to college reservoir to carry out a mock WeBS count and put your skills to the test.
The event will be run by EcoSoc and Cornwall's BTO Youth Reps. To ensure everyone gets the most out of the course, places are limited to 10 people and you must book.
This course is free!
Bring appropriate footwear/clothing and a packed lunch although there will be time for a trip to the campus shop
