About the event
Come along with Ecosoc to Woodland Valley Farm which is home of The Cornwall Beaver Project! We will be able to find out about this awesome project and will stay until after dark to potentially see them! While we are there, we will also be helping complete an amphibian survey of the area, assessing how other wildlife is being affected by the beavers' presence.
Meet at the Penryn campus bus stop at 10 am. Tickets will be available on the SU website on Monday 3rd February at 17:00pm. Make sure to have a big breakfast and to bring along a packed tea and lots of snacks as we will be away all day! Although this is a long trip it will be well worth it to learn how the beavers have already altered the landscape significantly and learn about how they are enhancing the biodiversity of the area.
Please wear suitable footwear i.e. wellies or waders if you have them! Bring some warm and waterproof layers as it is likely to get cold in the evening when we are out looking for beavers.
