About the event

Falmouth Marine Conservation (FMC) run a monthly shorewatch following Cornwall Wildlife Trust's SeaQuest methodology on Pendennis Point. They're doing a special collaboration event with us in Fresher's Week, so please do come along, no previous experience is necessary!

Where is it? You can get to Falmouth by bus or train from Penryn, and then Pendennis Point, which is on the very tip of Falmouth is a lovely walk from town. There are bicycle racks as well. We'll be at the end of the car park, and FMC have a nice big helpful banner and usually a scope.

Do I need to bring anything? Binoculars are helpful, so bring them if you have them, but not necessary. It's a headland so can get quite windy, check the forecast before coming, and dress appropriately! It's better to take a layer off than be cold.

What are the advantages? You get to network with other likeminded people, and the local marine conservation group. You get to practice your marine animal ID skills (both birds and cetaceans). And at worse you spend two hours of blue therapy looking out at sea on our beautiful coastline!

It's unlimited, so bring your friends, and we hope to see you there!
