 Curious about what the elections are all about? Come say hi at our pop-up! Get the lowdown on the elections, find out how you can get involved, ask us anything and, obviously, grab some freebies while you’re here. 👀✨

What is the key accessibility information? 

• Loud noise: Fox Cafe can be a busy and noisy space, particularly during peak times. There may be background music, conversations and general event noise. Noise levels will be monitored and managed where possible.
• Crowds: There may be periods of increased footfall and crowds around the pop-up. The space will be managed to help keep walkways clear and make it easier to move around.
• Small spaces: There are no small or enclosed spaces within the event area.
• Steps/access: There are no steps into the venue, and the event area is accessible without needing to use stairs.
• Accessible toilets: Disabled/accessible toilets are available within the building and can be accessed from the event space.
• Quiet space: If you need somewhere quieter, the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy or the student hub  is the nearest dedicated quiet space. You can also speak to the SU team, who can help you find a suitable space or support you during the event.
• Other considerations: If the environment becomes too busy or overwhelming, you're welcome to step away from the pop-up and return when you feel comfortable. Staff will be available if you need help or have any accessibility questions.

Who is running the event? 

This event is being run by the Engagement Team from The SU. Our Meet the Team page includes information about every member of The SU team. 

If you need a buddy to support you with arriving at the event, please email The SU on info@thesu.org.uk and we will work out what we can arrange to help. This might be someone meeting you before the event start time or simply talking you through more details of what to expect. We want to help you access our events so let us know what you need. 

Where is the event taking place? 

The event is taking place at Fox Cafe in Falmouth Campus 

What should I expect? 

At this event, there will be bright lights and lots of people moving around. We have plans in place for if the space becomes too busy. 

If you experience any issues during this event, please email info@thesu.org.uk or speak to a member of the team on the day. If you have been affected by harassment, bullying, intimidation or discrimination we are here for you. You don't have to be sure it was 'bad enough' to report. If it affected you, it matters. You can report without it going any further. You can just ask for advice, and you can even stay anonymous, it’s up to you. Visit our page here for more information on what to do next. 

Please note the following:

• There will be a member of staff present to support the event and answer your questions. There will be photography and videography at this event that will be used for SU marketing, please speak to the member of staff if you don’t want your photo taken. 
• This event is only for students of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campus.
• If you need a quiet space to get away from the event, the nearest space would be the Students’ Union, Multifaith Chaplaincy, Library Retreat Room.
