Afternoon Tea and Tenancy Advice Drop-in with SU Advice Team

The new Renters' Rights Act is here! Do you know what this means for you? Do you know your rights have changed? You could have more security and flexibility than you thought! Come and join us for tea and cake and ask us questions about the changes.

About the event

Come and join The SU Advice team for a delightful afternoon of tea, cake and a chat about how the changes to the Renters' Rights Act might affect you. 

The SU Advice team, including Jo B, Jo R and Katie will be on hand to look over your tenancy agreement and have a chat about how the law is changing and more importantly what your rights are. 

We will have delicious cake, gluten free options, tea and crafts to try whilst you relax and chill out. 

What to expect:

  • Activities: Engage in fun crafts, including badge making while enjoying tea, cake and biscuits. 
  • Atmosphere: This is a calm and inviting event designed for a maximum of 12 students at a time. There will be bright lights and some gentle movement as students come and go throughout the afternoon.
  • Support: Jo B, Jo R and Katie from The SU Advice team will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Our Meet the Team page includes information about every member of The SU team.

  • Where: Penryn Campus SU space, just up the hill from the Stannery. 
  • Directions: Please see the Google Maps directions to The SU Space or watch our Penryn Campus tour video to help figure out how to navigate your way to the venue.

    • There is disabled access to the Penryn SU Space, with both disabled and regular toilet facilities nearby.
  • Quiet Space: If you need a break from the event, the nearest quiet space is the Multifaith Chaplaincy or the Library Retreat Room.

Note: This event is exclusively for students of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campus. Photography and videography will be conducted during the event for SU marketing purposes; please inform a staff member if you prefer not to be photographed.
