Innovation Through Collaboration

About the event

Looking for a fun, creative way to meet new people and break the ice?
Innovation Through Collaboration is a fast-paced workshop where you’ll team up with other students to tackle a playful challenge designed to get you thinking differently, working together, and sharing ideas across disciplines.

In small groups, you’ll be given a mix of simple creative words and objects, then asked to develop and share a quick idea or pitch within a short time frame. It could be a performance, a game, a costume etc. The focus isn’t on getting the “right” answer, but on how you collaborate, adapt, and create with the resources you’re given.

It’s a relaxed, no-pressure environment that’s all about experimenting, connecting, and building confidence in teamwork.

Open to all Falmouth and Exeter students.

Snacks and sweets will be available at the event. 

• Noise: There will be low-level background music and general conversation, but we’re keeping things calm and not too loud.
• Crowds: The space will have a maximum of 30 people. It may feel busy at times but we’ll monitor capacity throughout.
• Small Spaces: The room is open plan with flexible seating — no tight corners or enclosed spaces.
• Step-Free Access: The venue is accessible via ramps with no steps in, out, or around the space.
• Toilets: There are toilets including an accessible toilet nearby on the same floor.

Who is running the event?

This event is being run by Michael, one of our student reps from The SU. 

If you need a buddy to support you with arriving at the event, please email The SU on info@thesu.org.uk and we will work out what we can arrange to help. This might be someone meeting you before the event start time or simply talking you through more details of what to expect. We want to help you access our events so let us know what you need.
