About the event

Ever wanted to learn to play the Djembe drum? Now is your opportunity to discover the wonderful world of West African drumming. The session is hosted by James Carr who has over 25 years’ experience playing drums and percussion as well as more than 20 years’ teaching experience. In the session you will learn to play authentic West African djembe patterns, develop technique and together we will create an almighty sound. The sessions are open to all whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player. All sessions come with access to digital resources and a recording of our final piece. Big beats, big breaks and lots of laughs. Come and have some fun with us!
