Relaxed Welcome evening in the SU

About the event

The big Welcome fayre not your vibe? Looking for a chill experience but still want to see what groups have to offer? We are hosting a chilled Welcome Fayre in the evening at the SU on Penryn Campus. Come in, grab a drink, take part in some low energy activities and meet some new people. It will be low volume and a relaxed atmosphere. Bring a friend or make a new one. See you there!  

What is the key accessibility information?
 

• Step and a accessible route into the SU are available. 
• A disabled toilet is nearby. 
• The Su will be low volume but if needed there will also be quiet spaces with warm low lighting available. 
• If I have a problem, what should I do? Flag a member of SU staff. They will be wearing SU T-shirts. 

Who is running the event?

This event is being run by Jasmine from The SU. Our Meet the Team page includes information about every member of The SU team.

If you need a buddy to support you with arriving at the event, please email The SU on info@thesu.org.uk and we will work out what we can arrange to help. This might be someone meeting you before the event start time or simply talking you through more details of what to expect. We want to help you access our events so let us know what you need.

Where is the event taking place?

The event is taking place in The SU on Penryn Campus. This is in the centre of the campus and is best accessed by taking the steps up from the train station, walking towards the lodge (provide further details or directions, even better if we can include pictures/videos).

What should I expect?

At this event, there will be some people bright lights with a few craftlike activities. We have plans in place for if the space becomes too busy.

There will be a member of staff present to support the event and answer your questions. There will be photography and videography at this event that will be used for SU marketing, please speak to the member of staff if you don’t want your photo taken.

This event is only for students of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campus.
