Renting Privately? Look Out for an Important Document

If you rent from a private landlord, you’ll soon receive a copy of this official Government document about new tenancy rules starting on 1 May.

Your landlord or letting agent must send you this document by 31 May.
So if you rent privately, expect it to arrive soon - by email, post, or however you normally get your tenancy info.

📝 What should you do when it arrives?

1. Read it when you can
It explains the new rules and how they affect your tenancy.
No rush - just look through it when you’re ready.

2. If it’s confusing… don’t worry
We’ve got simple guides on our website to help explain things in plain English. You can access these by following this link.

3. Still not sure?
