Hip Hop Society

SPARK COLLECTIVE - born from Hip-Hop Society. A space for music, dance & art. Create, connect & express your spark.

Welcome to the FalExe HipHop Society a.k.a Spark Collective!!
Spark Collective is a team of dancers from all ranges dedicated to sharing and exploring HipHop Culture. This year we are aiming to work more on on building and developing the foundational skills so that we can all grow as dancers together.

What we get up to:
So you can see what you're getting yourself into here are two videos from a competition we took part in in Nottingham!!

Beginners Team (Commercial):

Intermediate (Street):

This year you can also look forward to taking part in more competitions, and if that's too daunting we are also looking to do some more intimate showcases for family and friends to attend so that you can show them what you've been doing in the year.

Classes

Each week we have four classes all accessible through your membership:

Wednesday - 7:30PM – 10PM – Sports centre
Variety Classes 7.30 – 8:30

In this class, you will learn a variety of styles to increase your skill bank in dance from K-pop to afro styles to popping etc. This is a mixed skill class more focused on fun and skill development so anyone of any level of dance is advised to come!

Intermediate 8.30 – 10

For those wanting more of a challenge, we have the intermediate classes available where you will be able to test the strength of your skills and have a greater grasp of your growth through the year. We still advised all skill levels to come and test your abilities 😊

Thursday- 7PM – 9PM – AMATA Studio J
Foundation 7-8

Here you will learn the most basic of skills in hip-hop through drills! Though it is fun to always learn choreography, we want to make sure that you can execute the choreographies to the best of your abilities. Especially for those looking to perform in competition we HIGHLY recommend you come to these classes where we will work on grove, timing, isolations etc

Beginner 8-9

In the final class of the week, we will apply the skills you have learnt in the foundation classes to a choreographer. This is to make sure not only are you learning the skill, but you are instantly able see it in application. Though if you don’t want to go to the foundation class, we still recommend this class to hip hop beginners and all levels above to really enjoy just moving for an hour and existing in a warm judgment free environment.

*We do check memberships each session so make sure you have proof of purchase before attending!
