It’s been a rollercoaster ride this year, with lots of challenges thrown your way. But fret not - we are here for you. We’d like to take this time to introduce our ‘Together, Wherever’ campaign.

We know that with the current national lockdown that your daily lives may have changed slightly (or quite a bit!) but we wanted to reach out and let you know that we are here - together, wherever.

Whether you are isolating in halls or are a distance learner - we have tonnes of great resources available to help you stay connected throughout the next month. That might mean talking to your Student Rep for your course to give feed back on your academic experience or finding out about student events that have moved online.

We’ll be adding to this campaign page over the next few days and weeks with additional signposting to our range of student services available - so keep checking back for updates!

In the mean time, look out for one another and take care. We’re in this together, wherever.

The SU, We’ve Got Your Back.

As part of our #SUTogetherWherever campaign we want to let you know that we really are here to lend an ear or two.

Your SU Presidents will be available for an informal chat with any student who would like a natter over the phone. A simple conversation with someone can be such a great way to take some time out from ’Lockdown 2.0’ stress and break up the day. The SU Presidents are also a pretty friendly bunch who could talk until the cows come home…

To request a call, simply email info@thesu.org.uk with your contact details and the subject ‘Fancy A Chat?' - you will then receive an email reply letting you know when you can book a time slot for a call back this Friday afternoon.

Why not start your lockdown by checking off some of the things on the President's ‘Lockdown To-Do List’ below (you can download a printable copy too). Complete and share with us on Instagram @TheSUFalExe and use the hashtag #SUTogetherWherever.

Together Wherever Checklist

Keep your eyes peeled over on our Instagram feed where, over the next month, we will be inviting you to submit responses to daily prompts (e.g. what is something you’re grateful for) which we will be sharing via our Instagram stories. You might want to take a photo, share a drawing or illustration, write a poem, record a short video... there really is no limit to how you can respond.

These prompts are for you, and we will be sharing our favourite entries throughout the week to help us feel Together, Wherever.

We will be checking in with you regularly over the coming months to monitor how you’re doing and what you need from us. Your feedback will be carefully followed to ensure we’re doing what we can to ensure you have the university experience you deserve this academic year.

We’d really appreciate it if you could complete our survey to contribute your initial thoughts.

The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete and, as a thank you for your time, you will be entered into a prize draw with a top prize of £300 and runner-up prizes of £100 (x1) and £50 (x2) – you could be the winner!

This is a great opportunity to tell us what’s important to you and to help us understand how we can help you and other students in the future to get more out of your university experience.

Thank you, and take care.
