Committees

The Students' Union has two key committees, headed up by Part-Time Officers who come together to discuss and develop important topics. Their work is supported by the Student Council.

Want to start a new committee?

If you think that there needs to be a new committee, get in touch with studentvoice@thesu.org.uk SU committees are recommended to have a maximum of 12 members and exist to organise, act on and take responsibility for their area of work.

The Green Committee The SU Green Council is a group of students invested in cultivating campus sustainability, who lobby the universities and drive behavioural change across our campuses. It's chaired by Eilish Calnan who is our Environment and Ethics Chair.
The Liberation Committee The Liberation Committee is here to work towards the equality of all students on campus, including representing marginalised and under-represented groups. It is chaired by the SU Liberation Chair.
