Where do you volunteer?

I volunteer with FXpectrUm, Beesoc, ecosoc, Naturewatch, Kanahau Research Centre and I'm also a peer support mentor. I also volunteer abroad on an island off the coast of Honduras called Utila.

Why do you volunteer?

Because I care passionately about the causes I volunteer for. My mum always taught me that volunteering your time was one of the most rewarding things you could do - and she wasn’t wrong.

When I was 10 I started volunteering at a special needs swimming class for children. Working there allowed me to meet so many wonderful people, who made me laugh every week! I continued volunteering there for the next eight years and it was such a great time! Volunteering allows you to meet incredible, dedicated and charismatic people, and it's so worth it!

What has been your most rewarding moment?

Hearing how much FXpectrum has helped students socialise on campus.

What would you say to someone thinking about volunteering?

Do it!
