2019/2020 Season goals:

Competition season ended in October, and I have aimed to surf at least twice a week which I have managed to maintain in-between lectures and deadlines successfully. I also recently have begun strength and conditioning training with Cornwall High Performance centre in the campus gym; and I am excited to see the results in my surfing over the coming months. In addition, I have also joined the surf lifesaving society and are attending their weekly pool sessions which I believe is increasing my paddle fitness. I have ordered a new surfboard which should be finished soon!!  I am hoping this will further improve my performance and I am excited to surf it when the competition season begins again in March.

How has the Sports Bursary encouraged / enabled your progress?

Supporting the financial side to enable me to travel and compete on the European ( and now world) Circuit gaining experience competing against the world’s best longboaders. It has enabled me to maintain and improve on my surfing abilities which I am excited to show in the upcoming competition season. Thank you very much for supporting me as an athlete!
