(Our Competitive team 2022-2023) Birmingham & Cardiff!
We are a cheerleading team made up of a Level 1 Co-ed Tumbling Team, a Level 1 All Girl Non-Tumbling Team, and two Level 2 Stunt Teams, consisting of both current university students and alumni. No need for try-outs when our mission is to ensure that cheerleading, as a sport, is accessible to everyone no matter what your up-bringing was or who you are. As a sports society, we have won Sports Club of the Year two years in a row!
COMPETITIONS
Fusion Cheerleading, for a small cheer team, has taken massive strides ever since competing in 2019 for the first time. The team was able to win 3rd place at Future Cheer! The following year, 2020, the team placed 4th at BCA university Nationals and 2nd at Future cheer! In the 2022 season we were entered our first TWO Level 2 Routines at BCA in 2022 and our main routine placed 6th! At Future Cheer in Manchester the team also placed 5th.
Finally, in the 2023 season we walked away with our most impressive results yet! At Legacy Cheer and Dance in Birmingham, our main routine placed 3rd with our COED Level 2 group, Fusion Phoenix, walking away with 2nd place! Then in Cardiff, at Apex Nationals, we were able to obtain our first ever 1st place for our main routine! Our All-girl Level 2 group, Fusion Vipers placed 2nd place!

SOCIAL
Socials at cheer are a great place to bond as a team. As a team, we place great priority on bonding and creating a friendly and social environment both inside and outside of training sessions. We have a wide range of socials throughout the year, from the cheer ball, uniform socials to beach cheer sessions! There’s something for everyone at Fusion Cheer, whether you’re a big drinker or not! Socials are also a great place to mix with other societies. There are pub quizzes, a winter ball, and many themed nights to look forward to!
TRAINING
The best part about cheerleading at Fusion is that it is true when we say you don’t have to know anything! We will teach you from how to forward and do a prep level stunt, all the way up to a complete competition ready routine. We teach right from the basics in every aspect of the routine- motions, tumbling, stunting, jumping, and dancing. If you are a more experienced cheerleader or someone who wants to push themselves, we also have higher level stunt groups compete at competitions as well. Training sessions are challenging and action packed, but more than anything they are always fun!
