Jazz Harbour Big Band

Jazz Harbour Big Band is a group of talented students who share an interest in playing different forms of jazz and swing music, from big show tunes and pop tracks to more traditional jazz standards.

Jazz Harbour Big Band is a student-led group made up of both Exeter and Falmouth University students. We rehearse weekly in the AMATA building, Penryn Campus. We play a variety of music, from jazz standards to well-known big band and pop classics! We have performed in many venues across Devon and Cornwall and are often hired to play for Winter and Summer socials for different societies. We also take part in the annual Battle of the Big Bands competition, playing alongside other university big bands from the South West.  Put simply, we are a big group of friendly people who enjoy playing music together every week! All big band instruments welcome, so come along and get jazzy with us.

Jazz Band Rehearsals:

Following current guidelines set by both the government and the university we will unfortunately not be rehearsing together in a shared space. However we still plan to meet online weekly, Wednesdays 6:30pm - 8:30pm  for quizzes, discussions about jazz and maybe even some online performances from each other. We look forward to seeing you there!
