CSM Cricket Club returns in 2020/21 looking to get players of all standards involved in the sport, and if you're interested please join our Facebook group, which is our main method of communication. The link is here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/806294386112377/
We have extremely secure COVID-19 guidelines in place for training and matches, meaning that every session attended will be safe. This has been corroborated by the SU and Falmouth CC. If you have any concerns, please email Leo, our President, at email@example.com .
For the first few weeks of the year, we will be netting regularly at Falmouth Cricket Club. The Cornwall Cricket Centre in Truro, our indoor nets centre, is not yet open due to COVID-19, though we are in regular contact with the centre manager and hope to get sessions back there soon.
There will be pre-season nets in Truro over winter, beginning in September, before playing a series of touring and local teams over the course of the summer.
Though not playing BUCS, there are plenty of matches to get stuck into, with our first ever varsity against Bath Spa University CC in March. Throughout the first term, we play in the Cornwall Indoor Cricket League and have past success, having finished 3rd last year. We also enter an evening t20 league in the traditional season, through which every member that wants to play will play, with the squad being rotated.
The club will have a direct link with the town team, Falmouth Cricket Club, which puts out 4 Saturday sides ranging from Cornish Premier Division and the National T20 cup to Division 6, giving the chance for all players in the uni society to get out and play regular competitive cricket.
As with all sports there will be socials to get involved in, including the monthly CSM social.
