Dear students,

This year's Sustainability Week is taking place this week and, with over 40 events, there is something for everyone!

Sustainability should be something to embed in everyday life and the events for this year aim to highlight and educate, as well as entertain and provide a place to socialise. Kicking off today with ten events, Sustainability Week is a campaign led by student groups in collaboration with the Universities; from a backyard bioblitz led by EcoSoc and The SU’s Biodiversity Officer, to a talk from Hannah Pearce, CEO of Un_rap, a plastic-free shop based in Falmouth. The huge range of events means there is something for everyone to get involved in, from webinars to social media challenges and cook-alongs, film screenings and quizzes. Details for events can be found on the SU website with a full, interactive timetable and details for joining each individual event. Eventbrite links are also available and everyone is welcome. Please feel free to get in touch with me, the Environment and Ethics Officer, if you have any questions.

This is shaping up to be a fantastic, jam-packed week, and I am really excited to learn more about sustainability!

Kindest regards,

Eilish Calnan
