Hear about how Emma's volunteering with the Anthony Nolan charity impacted their work.
Anthony Nolan is a charity that works to find and recruit potential stem cell donors to the register. Personally, I began volunteering for the charity in my second year of university. Since then, I have been involved in fundraisers and recruitment drives to encourage people to donate and sign up to the stem cell register. I have found it incredibly rewarding knowing that each person I approach and register may go on to save the life of a person affected by blood cancer. This year I am on the committee for Truro Marrow- the branch aimed at involving students in Cornwall. Even though, over the last few months, campaigns and fundraising have moved online, there has still been plenty of opportunities to get involved with- and we are always looking for more help!
If you would be interested in getting involved in their life-saving work through fund-raising, helping with recruitment campaigns or signing up to be a donor then please get involved. You could save a life.
