A statement from your SU Presidents and Student Council

The following statement was created by the SU Presidents after discussion with Student Council members. It outlines the SU's stance on the Russian government invading Ukraine.

newsPresidentsSU

The Falmouth & Exeter Students’ Union strongly condemn the unrighteous invasion of Ukrainian territory by the Russian government, and we stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people, as well as every individual affected by this. We recognise that we need to provide more support to students and the people at this time.

The Falmouth & Exeter Students’ Union have been hosting Ukraine gatherings for any student affected by the current situation, and to come together to support each other. We will continue to hold more gatherings, with more details on our website and social media platforms.

Please also make use of the Make A Change Tool on our website, and vote on the tab ‘SU political stance on the war in Ukraine’ here. You can also add any comments and suggestions on the page in response to the war in Ukraine. The more students who vote on the motion, the more pressure we can apply to universities to highlight the passion, determination and solidarity within the student community.

If you want to get in touch, please email us at supresidents@thesu.org.uk

Glory to Ukraine!
