Voices is looking for a new team for the coming academic year! If you have an interest in producing high-quality magazines which provide a platform for people whose voices might previously have been lost in the noise, then we want you. Over the past two years, Voices has developed beyond anything we could have imagined and this year we plan to take it even further. Voices has established a strong reputation within the academic world, one which we will strive to maintain and advance. There is also the opportunity to expand the brand into podcasts and more. Roles
Editor-in-Chief
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Editor-in-Chief for the 2019/20 venture.
Manage and oversee the content produced for the magazine and the work effort of the entire team. This includes reviewing all content produced, articles and photographs, developing strategies and style guidelines, and representing the brand at social events throughout the year.
Graphic Designer
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Graphic Designer for the 2019/20 venture.
Responsible for pulling together the copy and photographs to produce three high-quality magazines over the course of the academic year. The design will need to be consistent with the existing brand but with a new and creative flare. Proficient use of InDesign and basic knowledge of the process of magazine creation will be essential for this role. This role will also entail the development of any advertisements, event graphics, and other such design requirements.
Creative Director
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Creative Director for the 2019/20 venture.
The creative lead in the team, working with the Editor-in-Chief, Graphic Designer and photographers to create a vision for the future of Voices. Will oversee the creative process and give guidance to the creative people that work under them.
Managing Editor
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Managing Editor for the 2019/20 venture.
Reports to the Editor-in-Chief. Oversees the journalists, organises interviews and proofreads copy taken by the journalists. Responsible for the quality of articles produced.
Journalist
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Journalist for the 2019/20 venture.
Takes the lead in researching, writing, editing, proofreading and filing stories in a timely manner to the Editor-in-Chief. Takes an initiative in finding people for interviews.
Event Co-ordinator
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Event Co-ordinator for the 2019/20 venture.
Event planning, design and production within time limits. Work with the Editor-in-Chief to identify the needs of the event. Organise facilities and details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invite list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, risk assessments, etc.
Event Assistant
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Event Assistant for the 2019/20 venture.
Maintain records of all bookings, e.g. venue and catering, and taking payments where necessary. Assist with creative decisions. Attend all meetings to act as a second point of contact. Work with the Event Co-ordinator to produce events which display the amazing work created by the team.
Social Media Co-ordinator
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Social Media Co-ordinator for the 2019/20 venture.
Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including developing relevant content to promote Voices. Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring Voices’ social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, and improve marketing efforts.
Photographer (Location)
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Photographer (Location) for the 2019/20 venture.
Produce professional photographs to be used to illustrate the magazine and social media. Have an eye for the story and relay the message of the subject's story through the photographs. Managed by the creative director and works with them to come up with ideas for photoshoots.
Photographer (Studio)
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Photographer (Studio) for the 2019/20 venture.

Website Designer
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Website Designer for the 2019/20 venture.
In charge of creating the all-new Voices website. Will be skilled in using WordPress to develop a website which is user-friendly and visually stimulating. Responsible for the general upkeep of the website for the academic year and helping other members of the team use the site to populate it with content.
Web Content Editor
The Voices Committee are looking to recruit a new Web Content Editor for the 2019/20 venture.
Reports to the Editor-in-Chief. Responsible for planning, creating, editing and publishing information on the all-new Voices website. Use relevant material from the journalists to populate the website. Actively seek external copy to publish.
