Don't miss out on the Ghetto Orange Live Concert tomorrow!

As Presidents, we’ve all had the opportunity to get involved, behind the scenes, to enable students to engage with Black History Month.

Back in August we got together to discuss the options of the events we wanted to help platform and talents we wanted to showcase. One of them was a live music event; I jumped at the opportunity.

Music has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Growing up as a singer and writing my own music, I know how powerful music can be. It can bring people together, it can make you think, make you feel, or you can let it move you.

Whatever your taste, a true music lover appreciates new raw talent and fresh vibes. That’s why we contacted Ghetto Orange. Eph is a talented musician, singer and songwriter studying Music at Falmouth - his music fills the room and gets the crowd jumping. He also had some other talented music students in mind to support him too: rapper, producer, songwriter, and guitarist, Bayode, and Charlotte, a singer and songwriter influenced by pop, RnB, soul and dance pop.

Once the artists were confirmed, we looked for a venue, eventually deciding on the Cornish Bank, which is a great venue and a hub for live music and new talent. After a few phone calls, we had secured the venue, with full support of Karum, the manager, who understood that we wanted this event to be the final celebration of the SU’s biggest and boldest Black History Month. We hope that this event will bring together students from different backgrounds to celebrate Black history and enjoy great music in this concluding spectacle.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic line up tomorrow. Doors open 7:30pm and tickets are available here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/falmouth-su-black-history-celebration-ft-ghetto-orange-tickets-438921063717
