Falmouth Town Safer Streets - VAWG Community Pop-Up Event

Safer Falmouth is hosting a pop-up event on Social Street, Penryn Campus in support of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence.

The community is invited to discuss issues around street safety and violence against women and girls (VAWG).  Partners from Cornwall Council’s Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Team; Safer Futures Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Service; The Women’s Centre Cornwall; Devon and Cornwall Police; and Falmouth and Exeter Students’ Union will be on hand to discuss as a community how we can tackle these important issues.

Falmouth was recently successful in its bid for funding as part of the Home Office’s Safer Streets Fund, and staff involved in delivering this project will also be there to tell you more about what we are doing to tackle VAWG in Falmouth and how you can get involved.
