Mind Over Natter: Using Colour in Meditation

Get your pens and pencils out because in this week’s Mind Over Natter, Rev Hannah Alderson is going to show us how colours can be used to evoke our emotions.

Wednesday 16 June 2021

12:45pm - 1:30pm

About the event

Did you know that colours can evoke strong emotional associations? What does red mean to you, or green, or blue? In this Mind Over Natter session we’re going to learn an easy mindfulness technique in which you use coloured pens/pencils to get emotions down on paper. Think of it as journaling but with colours instead of words.

The talk is suitable for people of any faith/worldview or none, and of all artistic abilities (no drawing involved)!

Rev Hannah Alderson is part of the University of Exeter's Multifaith Chaplaincy Team and works from the University Anglican Chapels – The Mary Harris Memorial Chapel (Streatham) and St Luke’s Chapel.
