About the event

We’re rounding off Sustainability Week with a headline guest speaker session set to educate and inspire! Join the Sustainability Team as they welcome three special guest speakers to give their take on carbon capture technology.
Spurred by the recent news that Elon Musk – founder of Tesla – has offered $100 million for the “best” technology, the guests help us understand what’s the deal with carbon capture tech, should investment priorities be elsewhere, and are there better ways to curb the climate crisis?

Our confirmed speakers for this session are:

Dr Edvard Glucksman – current Partnerships Manager for International Clean Growth & Net Zero for the University of Exeter, and business-facing manager of Tevi, a programme supporting enterprises in Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly to grow whilst contributing to environmental sustainability.

Sir Ghillean Prance FRS – former Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, botanist, author, and former researcher in Amazonian plants and ethnobiology (the relationship between plants and man), and

Rose Savidge - a fashion sustainability specialist, working for 'Finisterre', a local business leading the way in sustainable fashion as a B Corp

Pleae note this session will  be recorded.
