About the event
Join us for a special session in the sun* focused on eco-anxiety - creating space for likeminded people to come together, ask questions, and navigate their climate-related emotions with the support of our trained eco-anxiety facilitators. There will be refreshments and snacks. Bring along a reusable cup if you can.
Students, Staff and community are invited to plant, potter and pick fresh produce every Thursday 10:00-14:00 – it’s free – simply turn up!
Belmont Garden is a hidden haven situated behind the Life Drawing Studio in a quaint corner of Falmouth Campus. Under the shade of a Eucalyptus tree, the allotment and greenhouse boast leafy vegetables, herbs like mint and rosemary, potatoes, rhubarb, strawberries, and much more.
The sessions are organised by volunteer Chaplain John from the Multifaith Chaplaincy, in collaboration with the campus Grounds and Gardens team. The Belmont Garden Group is open for all to join and welcomes novices and seasoned gardeners alike, to learn and grow together.
Students, staff, and the public are encouraged to get involved in our community garden. Here you can enjoy planting some veg, watering seedlings in the greenhouse, feeding the robins and blue tits, and take satisfaction in harvesting some fresh produce for your larder. For more information email chaplaincy@fxplus.ac.uk.
Sometimes John takes a break for a cup of tea so if nobody is there when you first arrive, take a seat or have an explore.
