All candidates must attend one candidate briefing session to run in the election. This is only open to candidates who are nominated for the sabbatical officer elections.

About the event

This session is only open to candidates nominated in the sabbatical officer elections. All candidates must attend a candidate briefing to be able to stand in the election. We will go through the key rules of the election and the timeline for campaigning and voting.

Campaigning opens on Friday 21st February at 12pm.

Voting opens on Monday 24th February at 12pm.

Voting closes on Thursday 27th February at 12pm.

There are events and activities throughout the week to help candidates connect with voters, these include Question Time, crafts with the candidates, and candidates and creatures (animal therapy!).

What is the key accessibility information?

  • The room is situated near the library at Falmouth Campus.
  • There are no steps from the main entrance to the seminar room.
  • There will be other people attending this event.
  • You will be able to stand up and move around during this presentation if you need to.
  • If you have any problems, please speak to the member of SU staff running the event.

This event is taking place on Falmouth Campus in Falmouth. Library Seminar B is to the right as you enter the building that the library is in.

What should I expect?

At this event, there will be a presentation delivered and chances to ask questions. There will be important information and you might want to take some notes.

There may be photography and videography at this event that will be used for SU marketing, please speak to the member of staff if you don’t want your photo taken.

This event is only for students of Falmouth University and the University of Exeter Cornwall Campus.
