FXF is the fencing club of University of Exeter (Penryn Campus) and Falmouth University. Our aims are to promote the sport to a wider audience and to cater for fencers of all levels. We run weekly training sessions in the sports centre on campus for both non-competitive and competitive members and we currently focus on Epee and Sabre.

We work with Truro Fencing Club - one of the UK's leading fencing clubs - with 3 of their fencers having competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. FXF Members are therefore gaining access to high-quality, world-class coaching at a very affordable price.

By purchasing our membership AND a term package, you will be able to take part in our weekly sessions in the sports hall for that whole term you have paid for. All of our sessions are kit-inclusive, so there's no need for you to buy your own kit but you are welcome to if you wish. Those who enjoy their first term with us are invited to purchase our Term 2 package, which would mean you get to continue fencing with us from January til late March when we break for Easter holidays.

FXF aims to take part in competitions, from friendlies to BUCS, sporting fencers in both Epee and Sabre. Previous club achievements include a silver medal in the Individual Men Epee category in the Cornwall County Fencing Championships 2017. The selection of FXFs very own BUCS team will be based largely on the professional qualities our members can demonstrate to us such as resilience and good sportsmanship. Furthermore, FXF also runs intraclub competitions so those of you who wish to get a taste of competitions but are not yet confident enough to take part in external competitions can do so on our very own campus. Join our club to experience this sport at a very affordable price, make life-long friends, and get fit!
